The Watts Tower's Cross-town Cousin....

Folk Art in Los Angeles is significant. Not only do we have a museum for it, but we have one of the finest examples in the Towers in Watts built by Simon Rodia.

But, did you know that the Watts Towers have a modern day cousin across town in Venice?

Check it out! (You'll have to see it to believe it.)

Let's hope they've got a permit for their art forms visible from the street.

Oooo....the Mosaic House. I visit there all the time! It's one of my fave places in L.A. Recently, a cornerstone member event for the L.A. Conservancy was held there in conjunction with their upcoming tour, LA Mosaics (www.laconservancy.org).
The owner/artists of the Mosaic House (Cheri Pann and Gonzalo DUran) have recently started proceedings for a historical landmark easement for their coloful property. Thanks for mentioning The Mosaic House!
